Summary

Some say that the future will be bright and full of technological wonder. Others say that the future holds no happiness, only pain and suffering. Fallen Earth takes a distinct dive into the future with the latter theory, by setting its universe in a dilapidated, post-apocalyptic planet in the year 2156. It’s certainly not Daddy’s MMO, according to the developers.

Blood Sports takes the visceral design and atmosphere of the overarching MMO and contains it in something of a spinoff deathmatch game. As you can gather from the name, Blood Sports features several grisly activities that involve all kinds of death and similarly nasty situations. The games are organised by bankers in the wasteland for their sheer entertainment, creating arenas and populating them with clones of contestants that they remotely control.

Four distinct gameplay modes are available in Blood Sports - you have your obligatory Deathmatch mode, which pits 16 players against one another for frag points and other bonuses. Survival has a similar setup to Deathmatch but rather than play for points, the aim is to simply stay alive the longest. The traditional Capture the Flag mode is all present and correct here, having two teams of eight try to infiltrate each other’s base camp. The fourth mode, Assault, sets two teams of eight in a race through a multitude of gauntlet-esque challenges.

With new weapons to buy using Deathtoll Points, and worldwide queuing for international play, Blood Sports is probably the closest to the post-apocalyptic Olympics you can get.
