Summary

SBK 2011

The officially licensed SBK 2011 motors in to celebrate the 2011/12 Superbike World Championship with three categories of high-speed racing to choose from: Superstock, WSS and, of course, SBK.

Developed by Milestone using the latest EmotionFX to create new and more detailed imagery - the physics has also been improved to achieve more than 100 different rider animations. Racing is carried out with real-time dynamic light and shadow management to provide spectators animated in 3D, high resolution textures for bikes and riders, plus a new motion blur calibration for a real feeling of speed.

Playing in Career Mode, the gamer starts in a small Superstock 1000 team before working through the Supersport class and finally attaining the chance to compete in the SBK World Championship.

During this challenging mode, the gamer controls a team of riders as well as the day-to-day management of the team business. This includes evaluating offers to the team, keeping track of contracts, planning and executing sponsorship deals - basically making all the decisions required to get the team to the top.

In terms of racing – the core of the experience - the player will work with engineers to tweak their bikes to optimal levels. They also have the ability to selectively improve riders to match bikes.

The SBK Tour mode enbables the player to travel the world in a series of different challenges, that come in six unique levels that must be competed in and won in order to unlock all the available prizes. That means conquering 50 challenges at various difficulty levels.

SBK2011 also comes for the first time with Photo Sharing where the gamer can take pictures of their best performances to replay and then share on the official website.

Races are carried out using the “Evolving Track technology” which modifies the condition of the track based on grind from the bikes. This means that each track changes depending on weather conditions.

Online modes enable the gamer to compete with (or against friends in multi-player environments).
