Summary

Whenever a new console launches, the racing franchise that is usually first to take advantage of the hardware is Ridge Racer. Riiiiiiidge Raceeeeer! The classic arcade series returns to use the Nintendo 3DS’ fancy stereoscopic technology to the max, offering 3D races that allow players to accurately judge the distance between them and the opponent in front.

Landscapes will fly past your eyes as you dart through packed cityscapes, and dirt will be flicked towards your face as you make that drift. The inclusion of 3D effects make for a much more intimate experience - perhaps the closest you could get to a racer on any handheld. But it’s not just graphically where Ridge Racer 3D stands out from the crowd - an all-new line-up of muscle cars is included in the roster of classic race machines, and a Drift button lets you pull off stunt moves with ease. And of course, a huge selection of tracks from past Ridge Racer titles are yours to speed around, and are coupled with new courses that will further test your mettle.

Engage in ad-hoc multiplayer for up to four players, and get some real racing action on between friends. Alternatively you can use StreetPass to exchange ghost times and set personal rankings with people you walk past on your travels.
