Summary

Atelier Meruru is the dramatic and enchanting conclusion to the Arland trilogy, set within the main Atelier RPG series. This time around, you’re placed into the shoes of a princess called Meruru. She doesn’t exactly want to be ladylike in her position of power, choosing instead to focus on alchemy. Her goal is to become the apprentice of Totori Helmond.

As you can see, this story is closely tied with the events and settings told in previous trilogy games Atelier Rorona and Atelier Totori. Characters make a return appearance, and the core game mechanics have been updated along with some new additions. The result is a tuned up RPG that will give you a totally engaging experience.

One of these new features is the ‘Development’ system, where you can create new areas and facilities in the land of Arls to open up more worlds to explore. Doing so will also change the appearance of the game world - for better or worse! Watch out how you choose to develop the land, as it will have consequences in the story later on.

Classic turn-based battles are jazzed up with a Time Card system, which adds a level of strategy to the proceedings, and the item synthesis returns in full force to give you hours of experimentation when you get back to the cauldron!
