Summary

Pokémon is back in Black, and in White too. Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 extend and expand the gameworld established in 2010's Pokémon Black/White with a selection of new areas like Aspertia City, Virbank City, Floccesy Town, Yamaji Town and Humilau City and new characters; Hugh, Colress, Roxie, Marlon and Banjirou.

So which are you? Black or White?

Pokémon Black 2 opens in Black City, and you have the following exclusive Pokémon: Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Magmar, Sudowoodo, Heracross, Magby, Plusle, Volbeat, Spoink, Grumpig, Latios, Buneary, Lopunny, Bonsly, Magmortar, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle, Vullaby, Mandibuzz, Zekrom

Black city made its debut in Pokémon Black, but now it has an all new look, new trainers and Black Tower - where you must battle increasingly tough opponents as you ascend each floor in order to win items. Other areas of the game are updated too: Reversal Mountain and Opelucid City both have a whole new look. There are also new keys to unlock which will grant upgrades to Trainers, give access to new areas or open Black City to players of Pokémon White 2, and using the Unova Link you can transfer some keys to the opposite version of the game.

Travel south of Driftveil City after you get your 5th Gym badge, and you'll be able to compete in Pokémon World Tournament - battle previous gym leaders, region champions and other game characters. Keep battling to open up new tournament types. There is a new location called Join Avenue: Where you can go shopping in a variety of shops, which differ in each version of the game.

Once you have defeated the Virbank Gym Leader, Roxie travel to Pokéstar Studios and make movies of your battles.

Some of your Pokémon are available to the other version of the game, through FunFest missions or in-game trading, but the most are exclusive to their own version of the game - so unless you are buying both versions, you need to decide which Pokémon you want. If you decide to purchase both versions of the game, or play with a friend who has the other version, then you can access certain sections: such as the Black Tower/White Treehollow from the other game after you have unlocked it and used the Unova Link to transfer the key.

Wireless multi-player FunFest missions enable you to battle NPCs or hunt for hidden items.
