Summary

Syberia 3 has been a looooooong time coming. Releasing some five years since it was announced and nearly 13 since Syberia 2, series fans could have been forgiven for thinking it would never come. But come it has!

The game begins with Kate Walker, star of the cult adventure series, washed ashore and rescued by the Youkol tribe, a nomadic people who care for snow ostriches during their migration (yes, you read that correctly).

As prisoners of the city of Valsembor, Kate and the Youkol (and Kate's robot pal Oscar) are out to overcome their enemies and, of course, solve a ton of puzzles and challenges in line with Syberia's point and click heritage. This is the first game in the series to have a fully 3D environment, so expect those puzzles to be a little more involved than those of the game's predecessors.

Developer Microids describes Syberia 3's visual style as 'surrealistic', which about fits the bill. Retro futuristic robots litter a bleak, brutalistic landscape inspired by Cold War Russia and, more specifically, Chernobyl. Imagine Indiana Jones and the Jetsons had a love child and raised it in 1960s Moscow and you're about there.

Revisit a cult classic with Syberia 3!
