Summary

Prepare to leap into the ring with all the World Wrestling Championship Superstars as all mayhem breaks loose on your Nintendo 64 console. WCW Mayhem is one fast, action packed fighting frenzy where no holds are barred. The risks are high and danger is around every corner but a true champion has the guts to make it all the way the to the top. Do you have what it takes?

WCW Mayhem has over 50 wrestlers who are willing to take part in this madness. If that’s not enough, you have the option of creating your own wrestler. WCW boasts several engaging play modes including dramatic pay-per view super matches. The action isn’t just limited to the ring, it’s possible to fight in backstage locations such as the locker room or a secret hallway. Be warned, once outside the ring, anything goes.

WCW has smooth animation due to the fact that motion capture was used to create realistic movements. The slams look painful and the characters even look like their real life counterparts. The wrestlers even over-react after receiving a punishing blow. After enough moves are linked together, the momentum meter starts flashing and its finishing move time. These moves are spectacular and end the match with style.

With over 900 moves in the game, WCW is an extremely comprehensive simulation of an entertaining sport. There are plenty of multi-player laughs to be had and a great single player game to enjoy.
