Summary

Batman is back on the N64 in Batman of the future, Return of the Joker. Move over Final Fight we have a new superhero in town. Set in the 21st century, you assume the role of young Terry McGinnis, who tries his hand in Batman’s suit. This game is based on the video release of Return of the Joker, as you might have worked out from the title.

Using your mechanically enhanced suits, it time to hit the streets of Gotham and put an end to the evil that lies therein. Each suit features individual characteristics that ‘suit’ different levels in the game. You can choose defensive, offensive or nimble suits that enable different abilities.

Batman has several weapons and skills that you can call upon to stop the enemies in the game. You can use magnetic weapons or staffs and even throwing gadgets but seeing how your normal attacks do more damage, the incentive to use your bat-gadgets is diminished.

Batman is a poor game. If you spent money on this game it is likely to put you off video games for the rest of your life. This game is annoying, frustrating and boring. The sound, graphics and playability are all below standard and are only worthy of the bin. With thousands of good games out there, it is best to avoid this one.
