Summary

With an initial ranking of 5,000,000, Antz Extreme Racing gives players the chance to take on the role any one of six memorable characters from the popular motion picture and race around some of its locales. Also released on PS2, Xbox and the Game Boy Advance, Antz Extreme Racing's plot goes like this.

In order to prove the existence of Insectopia (Ant Heaven to we humans) a major racing competition is organised. Involving all the insect tribes, this championship series lasts throughout all four seasons and involves racing the weird and wonderful vehicles of the insect world. Sardine tins, soda cans and a whole host of bizarre creations must be driven to the max, in order to beat favourite characters, such as Z, Princess Bala, General Mandible and Colonel Cutter, and reach the top.

Set across levels such as the Anthill, the Forest Park, the Frozen Pond, the City, and the illusive Insectopia, the races feature most of what one would expect from a racing game these days. Bonuses are scattered throughout the levels, helping players along the way. On the other hand, giant obstacles and hazards, such as huge holes, bumps, nails, rocks and oil lie in wait, hindering the less observant player.

Antz Extreme Racing is a fun, explorative, action-based racing game, featuring big enemies, action scenes and imaginative track design. It's also the only game we can think of that lets you drive a tin can.
