Summary

Based on the world renowned anime TV show and Pokemon rival Yu-Gi-Oh, and one of the last games to bear the Game Boy Color moniker, Dark Duel Stories is an RPG of trading card origin with all the combat and no fluff.

As a fellow duellist, your goal is become the master card champion of the anime world's most played game by collecting and customising a selection of cards from a 10,000-strong library.

You'll begin with a small selection of weak cards with poor statistics, but they're all you have, and you must use them to fight other low-level fighters, thus improving your collection in both size and quality. Alternatively, you can trade cards with other Yu-Gi-Oh obsessed friends or fight for each other's cards in a tournament. There are also many rare cards and they are often hard to find, but the rewards are usually worth the effort.

Familiar characters including Tristan, Kaiba and Pegasus make welcome cameos and pose a few challenges of their own. Familiar anime visuals make the game as authentic as possible, and ultimately it's a fun, interactive alternative to its TV counterpart.
