Summary

Yu-Gi-Oh. Is it just a card game? Try telling that to the legion of fans that religiously collect the packs, and especially the characters in the anime series who see huge beasts come out of the deck to do battle. This latest tie-in offers more modes and features than any Yu-Gi-Oh game before it, focusing on the 5D's universe.

World Championship 2010's story mode follows the Reverse of Arcadia's anime arc, which details the Dark Signers' looming threat to conquer New Domino City. You can play the main single-player mode to see what happens next and save the world, or you can get straight to the combat and challenge one of 20 characters from the 5D world in a free duel mode.

Improvements are in the sheer volume of cards and skills you can use. A massive 3,500 cards, including the Absolute Powerforce series, can be accessed to create the perfect deck. Once you're all set, you can challenge players nearby or online, with a new Rating system that lets you prove that you really are the best.

A popular setup for card matches is the Turbo Dueling mode. This has been tweaked to include a new rule called 'Speed World 2'. SP-Magic cards have also been added to the proceedings, making the battles even hotter.
