Lee ‘Wild Man of Art’ Carus

Role: Director/Artist

Game History:
Sheesh, ermm where do I start... OK about 11 years ago I designed a little red character called Puggsy. Myself, a coder and musician decided to put this cheeky chappie into a demo on the Amiga called Puggs in Space, we showed it to Psygnosis at the PCW show and they loved it and wanted to turn it into a game. We tried our best to develop it but we really didn't know what we were doing at the time so we signed the character over to Psygnosis to let a more experienced developer get their hands on it. Our little team went it separate ways and I became an in house artist at Psygnosis.
I started as a trainee and worked my way up to Art Director in 1998, at which point I decided (with the rest of my talented colleagues) to get back into making rather than managing games. Whilst I was at Psygnosis though I've worked on about 27 or so titles ranging from Shadow of the beast on the FM Towns to Colony Wars and Wipeout on the PlayStation.

Favourite Game: New Zealand Story, Prince of Persia, Quake1/2/3 etc (but too many others to really mention)

Favourite Song: State of Mind: Goldie

Favourite Cute Thing: T.V.R (not the 4 wheeled version but a tequila, vodka and Redbull cocktail)

Quote of the moment: "Jesus is coming, everyone look busy."
